Qantas Sustainable Tourism Seminars 2009
In 2009, the second series of Investing for the Long Haul - Qantas Sustainable Tourism Seminars took place in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Cairns, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.. The free half-day seminars were designed as a follow up to the inaugural seminars held in 2008 and as a complement to the Qantas Award for Excellence in Sustainable Tourism.
Presentations from international and Australian speakers set the global and Australian scene prior to the business workshop which included a session on the ten steps needed to set up a sustainable workplace. The seminars also incorporated case studies from the state and national winners of the Qantas Award for Excellence in Sustainable Tourism.

The events were well attended in all cities except Cairns. In particular, the business case studies were highly valued by the attendees as indicated in the post event survey.
