MATIFIC

Media Outreach

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Momentum² was engaged to assist with building brand awareness through media outreach for Matific. Matific is an online maths education resource for primary school students which recently entered the Australian market. It is at the forefront of maths education and is available in over 45 countries and 26 languages.

We worked closely with Matific to implement a grassroots media approach surrounding the inaugural Matific Games (a Trans-Tasman maths competition for primary schools) to boost registrations and encourage schools to trial the resource.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

  • To help boost the profile of Matific in Australia

  • To create media opportunities around the resource, the Indigenous gifting program and the inaugural Matific Games

OUTCOMES

We coordinated several successful media interviews with major metro media, specialist education and technology publications and local media for Brent Hughes, Teacher Educator, Matific and Co-Founder Leon Kamenev, including with The Daily Telegraph My Career, Generosity Magazine, The Albert and Logan News, The Educator, Education Today, Hervey Bay Independent, Education HQ NZ and AUS, Tots to Teens Magazine NZ among others.

We also developed a database of key stakeholder newsletters including principals’ associations, teachers’ unions, parents and citizens associations and through our grassroots strategy, organised for the Matific Games competition to be promoted via these channels.
