LAKE MACQUARIE

Environmental Upgrade Agreement (EUA) Luncheon

Unlock Your Building's Potential

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Momentum² organised a series of events for Lake Macquarie City Council (LMCC), the first of which was in association with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC).  The 2012 luncheon event was hosted by the Mayor, Cr Jodie Harrison and was attended by a wide range of local businesses.

The project involved creating a database of suitable invitees who could potentially be interested in looking at an environmental upgrade agreement under the auspices of LMCC. Momentum² sourced and liaised with presenters who included:

  • Peter Dodds, Colliers International

  • David Blyth, Golder

  • Niall Fraser, Eureka Funds Management

  • Kimberley Slow, Investment Property Data

The panel discussion was chaired by CEFC’s Chief Operating Officer, Meg McDonald.  Momentum² also arranged a number of media interviews including with the Newcastle Herald and the ABC.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

  • To promote the awareness of EUAs in the Lake Macquarie area

  • To strengthen stakeholder engagement with stakeholders for both CEFC and LMCC

  • To provide an opportunity for networking across industry sectors

OUTCOMES

The luncheon event was attended by over 50 people many of whom had travelled a considerable distance. There was a wide range of local business representatives including building owners, retirement village managers, consultants, commercial property agents and financiers.

The post-event feedback was excellent with many indicating that they found the insights gained from the discussion to be very valuable.
