PROJECT OVERVIEW

Continuing our ongoing work with Bridging the Gap Foundation (BTGF), Momentum2 conducted a media outreach campaign in March 2021 to promote the launch of a partnership between BTGF and SEDA Group.

The partnership will provide scholarships for Indigenous students to access the SEDA program, through funds raised by BTGF.

The SEDA program has been proven to improve high school retention rates amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth, which aligns closely with BTGF’s core mission to improve Indigenous education outcomes in Australia.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

  • Promote the partnership between BTFG and SEDA

  • Raise the profile of the foundation and encourage donations

  • Raise public awareness of the issues that the partnership addresses

OUTCOMES

A launch event took place on Tuesday 2 March at Parap Primary School, Darwin and was attended by representatives from NT News and ABC TV. Four interviews were also arranged with key spokespeople from both organisations. These appeared on various ABC TV/ radio programs, both local and nationally.

  • The result included 6 interviews across TV, radio and digital media

  • This campaign is a part of Momentum2’s continued work with BTGF to raise the profile of the charity to secure support from media, businesses and the community to improve Indigenous health and education opportunities and outcomes
