Energy Efficiency and Your Business 2015

Following on from the successful energy efficiency events held in 2014 by the Commonwealth Bank (CBA) and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) in 2015, Momentum² was engaged to coordinate a second series of events entitled “Energy Efficiency and Your Business”. We were also responsible for managing some of the media outreach surrounding these events.

Designed to promote CBA’s energy efficiency loans (EELs), the second series was aimed at regional audiences. CBA researched clients and industries in a number of key areas and on the basis of this, chose the cities of Port Hedland, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, Toowoomba, Cairns, Townsville and Bankstown.

Coordination of these events by Momentum² involved sourcing and liaising with speakers, producing event documents including event briefs, run sheets, project checklists, biographies, editing and producing the final Powerpoint slideshows, sourcing and liaising with venues, AV technicians and other suppliers.

  • To provide a value add for CBA clients by helping them develop understanding of:

    • Energy costs in their business;

    • Potential savings from investing in energy efficient assets;

    • Latest energy efficient technology available in the market; and

    • How others have significantly reduced costs and improved bottom line

  • To encourage businesses, building owners and tenants, business owners to invest in energy-efficiency improvements

  • To build-on existing relationships between Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), Commonwealth Bank of Australia and local clients

The series of events was an outstanding success with most events reaching full capacity and with excellent presentations from a range of dynamic speakers.

Some of the key speakers included Savanth Sebastian, Economist, Commsec, Paul Greenop, Head of Portfolio Management, Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Michael Bellstedt, Managing Director, Minus40 Pty Ltd, Oliver Yates, CEO, Clean Energy Finance Corporation and Mark Gadd, Managing Director, Autonomous Energy Pty Ltd, along with a host of other engaging local speakers and experts.
