Momentum² was engaged to manage the media outreach surrounding VIVID SYDNEY at the Australian National Maritime Museum.
VIVID Sydney is a unique annual outdoor lighting festival with immersive light installations and vibrant projections in Sydney.
The brief was to generate interest in the Museum’s venues as a place to host events and enjoy the VIVID Sydney display on Darling Harbour.
Momentum² employed a grassroots campaign strategy in order to meet the brief, researching and contacting organisations which were likely to host events and functions around the VIVID Sydney season, including international trade media, domestic trade media, local newspapers, industry associations’ newsletters, chambers of commerce and industry newsletters and specialist media including business publications, seniors publications and defence publications.
To position the Australian National Maritime Museum and its venues as a unique and dynamic venue to host or attend a VIVID Sydney event
To publicise the various venue spaces and venue packages available at the Australian National Maritime Museum including The Lookout in the $12 million attraction Action Stations on the Waterfront Pavillion
Momentum² achieved substantial media coverage for VIVID Sydney at the Australian National Maritime Museum with good media attendance at the launch event, hosted at the Museum.
The coverage included stories in Micenet, What’s On Sydney, CAT Publications, TTF, ETB Travel News, Eastern Suburbs Spectator, Taste (Daily Telegraph), White Ensign Magazine, German Chamber of Commerce, Finland Chamber of Commerce, Business Events News, Travel Daily, The Nibbler, Sydney Business Chamber and Tourism Australia among others.
