Launch of Action Stations

PROJECT OVERVIEW

On Sunday 8 November 2015, Momentum² attended the Australian National Maritime Museum's launch of its brand new $12million dollar attraction, Action Stations. Action Stations is the biggest public initiative the Museum has undertaken since it was opened in 1991.


Action Stations features a dramatic immersive cinematic experience, a new discovery and exploration space and audio-visual encounters that recall sailors’ memories on board the vessels, giving visitors new insight into the inner workings of navy life at sea.
 
Momentum² was engaged to manage the media outreach for the launch of this exciting, new, permanent attraction.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

  • To announce the opening of the new, cutting-edge permanent attraction Action Stations 

  • To create media opportunities and generate coverage of the launch 

  • To position the Australian National Maritime Museum as an evolving, dynamic cultural institution and a world leader in maritime heritage

OUTCOMES

 

Momentum²’s media outreach generated over $1million worth of coverage across all platforms, including SBS/NITV, Channel 9 News, 2UE, John Laws Mornings Show on 2SM, Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian and ETB Travel News.
